What does Nozzle’s Customer retention dashboard show?

The customer retention dashboard shows you how well your customers are retained throughout the purchase journey.

Order 1 shows the total number of customers who placed their first-ever order with your brand during the selected time period.

When is Nozzle’s Customer retention dashboard best used?

Without the ASIN filter

The customer retention dashboard is best used at the account level (with no product filter applied) for a 24-month time period to gauge a general understanding of the overall retention levels for your brand.

Using ASIN filter

Using a product/ASIN filter with the time period set to your expected supply range for that product, you can figure out whether your customers returning when expected.

Key points to note when looking at Nozzle’s Customer retention dashboard:

Look at the difference between the Order 2 R% (Where R% is repeat order percentage) and Orders 3,4,5 (and so on) R%,

  • Normally, Order 2 R% is the lowest. It is healthy to have a bottleneck but this chart demonstrates how important it is to get a customer to purchase twice - if a customer makes a second order, they are then much more likely to make a third order, and so on.

  • If the difference between Order 2 and Order 3 R% is greater than a twofold increase (for example, order 2 is 10% retention but order 3 is 35%) consider altering your ad strategy for that product to focus on increasing Order 2 R% - this will positively impact your Customer Lifetime Value.
